Israeli aggression against Iran hints at “Greater Israel” dream: Overthrowing regimes and preventing Islamic countries from obtaining nuclear weapons

By Dr. Fatima Ibrahim Al Menoufy

Through its aggression against Iran, Israel aims to prevent any Islamic country from obtaining nuclear weapons to ensure its dominance, as happened with Iraq and Syria in the past. It also aims to overthrow the Iranian regime.

Can Israel eliminate Iran’s nuclear capabilities?

In the past, Israeli targets in Iraq and Syria were easy and clear, and those nuclear facilities were in the early stages of construction. However, the Iranian nuclear program is characterized by its geographical expanse, its complete localization, and its complex engineering fortifications. Furthermore, Iran has accumulated knowledge and human expertise. All of this makes Israel’s success in repeating previous scenarios unrealistic. Therefore, airstrikes, no matter how powerful, will not achieve “total destruction,” the complete elimination of nuclear facilities and the elimination of Iranian technical and cognitive capabilities.

Pakistan is the next

In 2011, Netanyahu declared in a television interview that Pakistan was the next target after Iran, saying, “Our greatest mission is to prevent any Islamic regimes from obtaining nuclear weapons. Iran and Pakistan are two countries that pose a threat to Israel.”

Israel has historically succeeded in remaining the only nuclear power in the region and was able to acquire nuclear weapons with covert French assistance. In the 1950s, France sent hundreds of technicians and experts to Israel and provided it with a 24-megawatt nuclear reactor. According to French reports, the construction of the Israeli reactor at Dimona began in 1958. Israel possesses a nuclear arsenal of approximately 100 warheads without any international oversight. It adopts the “Begin Doctrine,” which stipulates that it must possess nuclear weapons and prevent any other regional state from possessing them. We witnessed this in 1981 when it bombed the Iraqi Tammuz 1 reactor, and then the Syrian Al-Kibar nuclear site in 2007. The Israeli aggression against Iran comes within the context of this goal: to ensure military superiority and continue its policy of bullying without any international sanction. However, the situation with Iran remains completely different from what happened with Iraq and Syria.

The Policy of Deception and Misinformation

The United States and Israel were able to mislead Iran ahead of Israeli attacks by staging fake negotiations to distract it from any preparations to counter a potential Israeli attack. An Israeli official revealed to The Times of Israel a few days ago that Tel Aviv and Washington had conducted a massive misinformation campaign, with the participation of US President Donald Trump, aimed at convincing Iran that an attack on its nuclear facilities was not imminent. Israeli media also broadcasted misleading leaks claiming that Trump had warned Netanyahu against attacking Iran as part of the deception.

Tel Aviv deliberately misled Iran by announcing that Netanyahu was still on vacation.

Israel also deceived Iran by announcing that Netanyahu was still on vacation in the north of the country, while preparations for his son Avner’s wedding continued. The official revealed Trump’s involvement in the preparations for the attack, saying, “Trump played a game with us,” describing the level of coordination between the two sides as “close and comprehensive.”

The United States and NATO played roles in the attacks on Iran

But two weeks ago, Russian media warned of unusual NATO intelligence activity near Iran. This was in preparation for Israeli strikes. NATO monitored Iran’s defenses with AWACS aircraft, drones, and satellite scans.

Netanyahu said in a recorded video message: “I leave the American position to the Americans. We updated them ahead of time. They knew about the attack. What will they do now? I leave that to President (Donald) Trump. He makes his decisions independently,”

Trump: “The attack on Iran is excellent.”

Last Friday, Trump described the Israeli attack on Iran as excellent, calling on it to conclude an agreement on its nuclear program, believing that there was still a chance to prevent further conflict with Israel. Asked if there was an American role in the attack on Iran, he said that he had warned Tehran that “the United States makes the best and most lethal military equipment anywhere in the World, BY FAR, and that Israel has a lot of it, with much more to come. And they know how to use it.”

Iran’s nuclear weapons pose threats only to war criminals

If there are concerns about any country possessing nuclear weapons, those concerns stem from Israel, which has not signed any of the international treaties and agreements aiming at preventing nuclear proliferation despite international pressure to do so. Iran, on the other hand, signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty decades ago, while the United States withdrew from the 2014 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) nuclear agreement and also withdrew from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty with Russia in 2019.

Pakistan Urges All Islamic Countries to Sever Ties with Israel

Amid the barbaric attacks on Iran, Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif urged all Islamic countries on Saturday to sever ties with Israel due to its aggression against Iran, affirming his country’s full support for it in confronting Israel, saying, “We stand with our neighboring country, Iran, in every possible way.”

Iran faces serious challenges, including Mossad cells inside Iran. Numerous reports indicate intelligence penetration within Iranian territory. Currently, Mossad agents inside Iran are talking about burning tires, igniting chaos, and inciting protests. The assassination of Haniyeh was a vivid evidence of Mossad penetration within Iran. Therefore, Iran must close these internal gaps to succeed in this war and halt the Zionist-American plot.

The Law of the Jungle and the Erosion of International Law

If the international community abandons its mandated role in stopping any aggression against Iran which is a sovereign state, and Muslims abandon their support for their Muslim brothers everywhere, the law of the jungle will continue to prevail, and the door will open to a chaotic world in which international law is disregarded and the sovereignty of states is violated one by one.
